Sake(Nihonshu) (en:Sake or Rice wine)

When we say simply “sake”, it means “Nihonshu”(rice wine).

Sake is a traditional Japanese alcoholic beverage produced by fermenting rice. The alcoholicity of sake is less than 22%.

As good sake depends on the quality of rice and water, “Shuzō”(sake cellars) are usually located near some of the best spring waters in Japan.

The people of middle age likes sake, but young people prefer beer more than sake.
